Most people I photograph are not professional models. Shocking, I know.
During St. Louis headshot sessions, I’ll guide the small adjustments that make a photograph work: shoulders, posture, chin, head position, eyes, expression, and movement.
We’ll also work through different expressions instead of freezing one smile and hoping for the best. Warm. Confident. Direct. Approachable. Slightly more serious. Slightly less “someone just told me to smile.”

A professional headshot session should not feel like standing silently in front of a camera while somebody clicks the shutter 300 times and hopes one of them works.
My St. Louis headshot sessions are collaborative. We build the photograph together. I’ll make adjustments, show you what’s working, and keep refining things until we get images that feel right.
I’ll direct posture, shoulders, head position, and body angle so you don’t have to.
We create variations ranging from warm and approachable to confident and direct.
We can evaluate what’s working instead of waiting until the session is over and crossing our fingers.
Selected images receive professional finishing while keeping you recognizable.
PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION
Please Don’t Buy an Entire New Wardrobe for This.
You do not need to completely reinvent your wardrobe for a headshot. Start with clothing that makes sense for how you actually present yourself professionally.
Solid colors, clean layers, jackets, blazers, and well-fitting professional clothing tend to photograph well. If you’re staring at three shirts thinking, “I have absolutely no idea,” bring all three.
